Mark Phillips: The American Question

3/15/03: Summit on Fantasy Island.

March 2003, antiwar demo (©www.womenforpalestine.com)

The international antiwar movement can celebrate an extraordinary achievement. Bush, Blair and Aznar are so besieged by the masses of their own people that they've been forced to hold tomorrow's war summit on Fantasy Island. The Azores: an extremely tiny spec in the middle of the Atlantic. Apparently there's nowhere on the North American or European continents which is safe from protesters. Think about that while you march this weekend.
