Saddam captured (©Washington Post)
"Former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was captured Saturday night near his hometown by U.S. soldiers who found him hiding, haggard and disheveled, in a hole in the ground in a small, rural compound, U.S. officials announced today." (Washington Post, 12/14/03.)

Two predictions. Opinion polls will show for the next month or so that more of the American people approve of the invasion of Iraq. There will be no impact whatsoever on the Iraqi resistance.

You heard it here first.
