A book selection for busy activists

We've found throughout our activist careers that we read lots of books related to our projects. This makes sense: we want to be good at what we do, and many times there's no substitute for study.

Unfortunately it can be difficult to find lore about which titles and which authors are more helpful than others. It's tough to find reviews of political or activist-oriented materials written for a specifically activist audience or from an activist point of view. So we end up reading everything we can find on a particular topic, which can be time-consuming and, if you buy books as some of us do, expensive.
